Dieting – Fast Fat Weight Loss Programs, Why There Is No Such Thing

There are a lot of fast fat weight loss programs that people subscribe. There is no such thing. Here is why.

The Miracle Diet Cure

There is just no guaranteeing several pounds of weight loss in very few days let alone overnight. Fat in the body, especially the fat in the belly burns last. Fast fat weight loss programs have to be better qualified specially the "fast" word. All results of "fast fat weight loss" programs, without exemption, are inconclusive, under study at best although failed-until-now is an honest word. It may be unfair to give a blanket statement and call these products as scam but until a conclusive government report comes out the tip is don't. Just don't.

The Quick Weight loss Program

No two people have the same metabolism. Different bodies react differently. Again the "quick" word. This is a tired but proven catch phrase to make you draw out your wallet and part with your money. In a country where "busy" is the operative word and "no time" is the norm, it is just so sad to see good money wasted. Why? Because chances are the product is a hunger suppressant. Now, why in heaven do people have to earn so they do not eat. The usual given argument is to get fit but then again, why starve the body the nutrients that it will need to survive or at least be healthy?

The reason why the "fast" and the "quick" word needs better qualifying is this. All the energy that the body does not need, we know, is stored in the body as fat. Now fat is important (too much of it is not but that is another story). The fat in us is stored so that when the body runs out of fuel, it will draw from this storehouse of energy to keep it going for a long time but only when the energy stored in the muscles are depleted. But that is precisely the point. When we the body undergoes a weight loss program, the body reacts by storing as much energy that it could. It will recognize the lack of nutrients much similar to how we recognize that a food shortage is about to happen. Like us also it will store and conserve all the energy that it possibly could for future use. Like us, it will be very stingy in releasing the energy, releasing only as far as we would need to function. And that is exactly what happens. The body will first take out as much water from the cells. Next it uses the muscle for fuel. Then and only then will it use the fat that has been stored to enable you to survive. As the good book said, we are beautifully and wonderfully made, why tinker with that?

What to do then?

Regulate the diet. True, fat, sugar and sodium must be limited but that is because most of us take more than three times our daily requirement. Eat, but eat healthy. Get a good diet plan and stick to it. If there is too much temptation that you failed for a while, shake off the dust, get back on the saddle, and do it again. Exercise too because nothing is better than sweating it out. Muscles will only develop when stress is applied to it and so get a good daily workout. Get fit gradually. Disrespecting how the body is designed always end up badly. Fast fat weight loss programs? Nah.

Dieting – How To Maintain the Ideal Weight

Once you lose weight, maintaining the ideal weight is not as hard. There are several choices that you could do and most are as easy as picking the correct products and choosing right.

Things to do

1. Cook at home. Cooking at home gives you a very good idea of the contents and the limits of the nutrition that you are serving. In short cooking at home makes you manage well what you serve. One of the main causes of improper dieting is the drive to the fast food. Hefty amount and sodas have already taken its toll. Limited variety of the food in the diet nailed the malnutrition issue. Being too busy and having less time is a good reason why eating fast food meals were preferred. Eating imbalanced diet negated it.

2. Have variety in your diet. There are six basic food groups, all of which have their own advantages. Ideally you must have portions of them in recommended amounts to maintain the ideal weight. Understandably, that will not be possible every time. If that is the case, just limit the eating of food that contains fat, sodium and much sugar. While these are needed too by the body, the cause of overweight and being undernourished is that the average person have more than three times the amount of these foods in their daily meals.

3. Exercise. No matter how busy the person is, exercise is a must. The main cause of being large whatever the age is eating and being sedentary. You do not need expensive exercise equipments for this. Jogging, brisk walking, climbing the stairs and hanging on a tree limb or a doorjamb, do the trick.

Things not to do

1. Do not take weight reducing pills, fat loss pills, and fat managing pills. If ever, take only that which is government approved. Fat weight loss providers make their products very appealing. It has to be. Testimonials abound and as if it were not convincing enough, fancy laboratory titles backs up the claims where there is also proof of testing, research and recommended dosages. Of course it would be that way. If the advert is only on the say so of the manufacturer, then take it as it is. It is only the say so of the manufacturer. There is only one fat blocker that is government approved. Even that had gone several revisions and the effect is only moderate. In oriental medicine, there is a saying that the medicine that you take will cure the targeted part that is ailing the body but will destroy another. The word then is caution.

2. Do not return to the same diet as before. That is very obvious but the temptation to backslide is so strong that resolves are sometimes thrown out the window just to indulge in a "harmless" little more, followed by a little bit more.

3. Do not under eat. Under nourishment is just as dangerous as over eating, sometimes more so. But if you must want to feel light, take power foods. There are several foods in the market that are very inexpensive. Oatmeal, avocado, cereals, fish, berries, walnuts etc, are the foods that are usually taken lightly but are in fact are very good choices when the idea is maintaining the ideal weight.

Lose Weight Pills Effects Of Various Supplements

There are many lose weight pills on the market. They tout numerous benefits and list a variety of substances. But the layperson doesn’t really know what kinds of effects these supplements have in them. Therefore, I turned to the highly respected Mayo Medical Clinic to find out what the effectiveness of the items in the lose weight pills were.

The hot trend right now in lose weight pills is Bitter Orange. This is touted in many supplements as an “ephedra substitute. There is some scientific thinking that it may cause similar problems as ephedra – which was pulled off the market for causing heart attack and stroke. There hasn’t been enough research on Bitter Orange and the long term effects are unknown.

Chitosan is described as a relatively safe ingredient in supplements. The manufacturers often tout this as having the ability to block the absorption of fat into the body. Mayo says this is highly unlikely. Also, they caution that it may cause constipation and bloating. Again, the long term effects are unknown.

Chromium is another of the lose weight pills that is relatively safe but unlikely to work according to Mayo. It supposedly reduces body fat and builds muscle.

CLA can cause diarrhea and indigestion. Mayo says it might be able to decrease fat and increase muscle, but is unlikely to reduce overall body weight.

Country Mallow is supposed to decrease appetite and increase the number of calories burned. But, like Bitter Orange, it contains ephedra and has all of the associated risks.

Ephedra has been banned for medical or supplement use, but is still allowed to be sold as a tea. Despite this, many supplements still contain ephedra. It can cause high blood pressure, heart rate irregularities, sleeplessness, seizures, heart attacks, strokes and even death and should be strenuously avoided.

Green tea extract is included in any number of lose weight pills. It is supposed to increase calorie burning and metabolism and decrease appetite. There is limited evidence to support this claim, according to Mayo. However, it an cause vomiting, bloating, indigestion and diarrhea. Also, it contains a high amount of caffeine, so if you are watching that, you may want to restrict supplements containing Green tea.

Guar Gum is another supplement that is harmless but unlikely to cause any real weight loss. Makers claim that it blocks the absorption of dietary fat and increases the feeling of fullness, which leads to decreased calorie intake. However, it is more likely to cause diarrhea, flatulence and other gastrointestinal problems

Finally, Hoodia is another ingredient found in many lose weight pills. It is supposed to decrease appetite. However, the Mayo Clinic says there is no conclusive evidence to support this claim.

Many people have found success using these type of supplements. However, they are expensive and there are no legitimate scientific studies that back up the claims. These lose weight pills are quite expensive, so you have to balance the payoff versus the pay out.

Calories Burned Counter Lose Weight Fast

One of the best things you can do to lose weight is get a calories burned counter. What these do is monitor your activity so that you know how many calories you’re burning each day. This will allow you to balance your calories coming in with your calories going out, and lose weight quickly.

There are many different varieties of calories burned counter to choose from, but the best known is the BodyBugg, which has been featured on television on The Biggest Loser. It’s the small little device you usually see strapped around the contestant’s arms, and it helps them monitor their activity to lose big weight.

They all basically work similarly. The devices use a variety of methods to monitor and collect data about your physical activity. A calories burned counter usually contains an accelerometer, so they can monitor your motion. The accelerometer is also used to calculate the number of steps taken, which also contributes to daily caloric burn.

The calories burned counter also generally monitor galvanic skin response. The skin becomes more conductive when you sweat; the device is able to keep track of how much you’re perspiring. The counters also monitor body temperature and the amount of heat you are putting into the atmosphere.

All this information is then cross checked with other factors like your age, weight and gender and used to create a fairly accurate picture of the amount of calories you are burning. If you wear a calories burned counter all day, you can get a twenty four hour picture of how many calories you are burning each day.

For this to be helpful in losing weight, you also need to know how many calories you are taking in. A typical calories burned counter also comes with a computer program that will allow you to enter your food in and calculate how many calories you are taking in. Without this information, what you learn from your calories burned counter is interesting but not useful.

The proper way to use a calories burned counter is to tailor your workout and eating plans to best fit your own bodies. In general, you want to be burning 500 calories more than you’re eating. That’s not a lot of calories, so this should be a fairly easy goal to hit.

The first thing you need to do is use your calories burned counter to find your caloric equilibrium, the point where your activity and the amount of food you take in are in balance and you are neither gaining or losing weight.

Once you have found this, then you should look to reduce your food intake by 250 calories and increase your activity by 250 calories. Neither of these is very hard; changing from regular soda to diet soda will get many people to the calorie goal.

The activity goal can be met by walking an additional two and a half miles per day or just making sure to add additional activity through the day. You should be adding stairs into your day, parking further away and just generally trying to get more activity. Your calories burned counter will let you know how you’re doing.

How To Lose Weight Fast

If you're looking around for help with how to lose weight fast then really sticking to some of the basics is often the way forward for most people. This is because pretty much opting for a fad diet might work in the short term, but once the weight has gone and you go back to your 'normal' eating patterns, the weight will surely come back.

With that said though, there are some really powerful ways to lose weight fast and keep it off. To begin with if you are someone who is not eating a healthy diet then you should look closely at that and make some changes.

Fruits and vegetables have high water content and are great sources of natural fiber, so aim to eat at least five portions per day and this will kick start your weight loss. This is also why substituting one of your meals per day with a healthy fruit and vegetable juice, that you have juiced and blended yourself, can be a great way to lose weight fast.

With that said, skipping meals without substituting them with a healthy and nutritional alternative is not the way to go to lose weight. Instead make sure that you are eating at least three healthy meals a day as this will keep your metabolism working throughout the day. Skipping a meal will slow down your metabolism and so the burning of fat will be reduced and your weight loss will also be reduced. Above all treat breakfast as the most important meal of the day as this is your first chance of the day to get your metabolism working.

It's a fact that not everyone enjoys exercise, but if you're looking to lose weight, then exercise is a must. The key here is to find a physical activity that you absolutely enjoy, that way when you don't feel like you can go on, then the fact that you enjoy the activity will keep you going.

If you're trying to lose weight fast for an upcoming event in your life: a wedding, a vacation or simply to fit into that gorgeous new dress, then keep that thought in your mind as a way to motivate yourself. Nothing will help you in your quest better than visualizing yourself miserable if you fail. On the back of that, see yourself succeeding and wearing that dress and how wonderful you will look and feel and you have a real and powerful tool to use in your favor.

Above all, aim for natural and safe weight loss and you will not only achieve, but you will maintain what you have achieved.

Weight Loss Plans For Teens That Will Work

If you're a teenager looking for weight loss plans for teens, then you're no doubt in a very difficult moment of your life. The trick for success in losing weight is to understand and accept that whatever plan you decide is for you, then your success will not happen over night. So it's important to be realistic and not set yourself up for a frustrating fall.

Your first step before you jump on any weight loss plans for teens is to make sure that you have the basics down and you've tried them to the best of your abilities. That means taking regular and adequate exercise for your ability and fitness levels – increasing in frequency and level as your fitness improves. It also means cutting out fast foods and junk foods and eating a diet heavy in fresh fruits and vegetables and fiber. Also, make sure that any between meal snacking is avoided, because this is a surefire way to pile on the pounds and ruin all your good work. Drinking at least a liter and a half of water per day is also the basics of weight loss and should be actively encouraged. If you have tried these basics and you're still struggling to lose weight, then one of the weight loss plans for teens might just be for you.

Whichever plan you opt for there are certain points that you should make sure the plan either includes or doesn't include. Often people say avoid fad diets because any weight loss that is achieved will reappear once the user goes back to their every day eating plans. As much as this is true, often times people cannot agree on what is considered a fad diet. So you will no doubt get contradictions about which group a particularly popular diet falls into.

Pretty much though, it is a matter of using your common sense and judging for yourself whether a diet program is for you. For instance judge the kind of foods that a program is asking you to eat, if those foods are overly restrictive, then you might want to look further at the program and see if it is for you.

Some weight loss plans never include the taking of regular exercise, which for anyone, whether they are looking to lose weight or not, is important. For a growing teen regular exercise is crucial, so if there is no reference to taking exercise, again ask yourself if this program would really suit you and your needs.

Weight loss plans for teens are always a good idea because finding a successful program will not only help to lose the weight, but it will also foster confidence and a high self-esteem in a growing and maturing teen.

Lose Weight With a Calorie Counter Watch

A calorie counter watch is not, despite the name, a calorie counter that watches you eat, or a watch that counts calories. No, a calorie counter watch is a device you wear on your wrist that monitors your heart rate and from this, extrapolates how many calories you are burning throughout the day.

This can be, as you might imagine, incredibly useful for your fitness regimen, regardless of what your actual goals are. Knowing how many calories you are burning throughout the day is one of the key factors in being able to control your weight. The other knows how many calories you are taking in.

That said, a calorie counter watch can be useful for more than just losing weight. If you are trying to get in better shape in general, it can tell you how much activity you are getting through the day, as well as letting you know how hard you’re working. This is a much more efficient way to do things rather than just relying on feel.

The calorie counter watch can also be useful if you’re in the enviable position of trying to gain weight. This is not a problem for most of us, but you’d be surprised how many skinny teenage boys are out there are looking to add weight for sports or even just to look better. The watches can allow them to eat more on days when their activity is up and less when they are just lounging around.

In essence, what owning and using a calorie counter watch will give you is knowledge. We are not, when it comes to food and exercise, very good at estimating. To a person, we nearly always overestimate how much we work and underestimate how much we eat. Anything that gives us better control over this is going to be very helpful in achieving our fitness goals.

You can estimate your calories when you are doing a certain kinds of sustained exercise. It’s not hard to find out, for example, that running will burn off about 100 calories per mile for a 150 pound person. What is harder is when you are trying to integrate more activity in your day to day life.

You’ve started using the stairs instead of the elevator, or you’re parking further away from the building at work. All these things add up, but without something like a calorie counter watch, it’s going to be very hard to tell how much these activities are helping. It’s like groping around in the dark.

With a calorie counter watch you will know exactly how much your are burning, and this will allow you a great deal of precision in knowing how your fitness goals are progressing and what you need to do each day to step it up.

A calorie counter watch is not quite as accurate as the more sophisticated calorie measuring devices like the BodyBugg, but they are much more convenient, since they look and function much like a regular watch, and they’re much cheaper to boot. If you’re trying to lose weight, you’d be well advised to at least try using a calorie counter watch.

Weight Loss Pounds For The Obese

If you are trying for weight loss pounds, you should read this article. Some people need to lose a few pounds. But more and more Americans are in the categories known as obese and morbidly obese. These people need to lose more than a few lbs. They need weight loss pounds.

Some people have been able to have a significant weight loss pounds through diet and exercise. This is made popular by television shows such as The Biggest Loser.

These kinds of people are able to change their attitude and lifestyle for life. They realize that they’re not on a temporary diet. To weight loss pounds, they must change how they view their body and the food they eat.

This means they change the types and quantity of food they buy. They change the types of meals they eat. They change the size of the meals they eat. They change the frequency of the meals they eat.

And, they begin to exercise. Because they may be unable to do vigorous activity, they may have to start slowly. But, morbidly obese people should choose to exercise at least 30 minutes a day in whatever form is possible. As they develop strength and endurance, they should kick this up to 60 to 90 minutes.

But some people feel they can not change their habits on their own. The weight loss pounds is not realistic with just diet and exercise. That is why Bariatric Surgery has become so popular in the last few years.

With this procedure, also know as Gastric Bypass, the stomach is made significantly smaller and the food bypasses part of the small intestine. People who have undergone this surgery find that they feel full with very small portions of food.

In a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (the most common kind), the stomach is made smaller by creating a small pouch at the top of the stomach using surgical staples or a plastic band. The smaller stomach is connected directly to the middle portion of the small intestine bypassing the rest of the stomach and the upper portion of the small intestine.

Gastric bypass surgeries may cause what is known as the “dumping syndrome.” This happens when food moves too rapidly through the stomach and intestines. Symptoms include nausea, weakness, sweating, faintness, and sometimes diarrhea shortly after eating. These symptoms are much more severe when the person has eaten highly refined, high-calorie foods, especially sweets.

There are a number of weight loss pounds conditions that have to be met before a doctor can perform Gastric bypass. For instance, the person has to have been obese for at least 5 years. He or she cannot have an ongoing problem with alcohol or have untreated depression. Most candidates are between 18 and 65 years old.

Most people who have gastric bypass surgery quickly begin to lose weight. They tend to continue to lose weight for up to 12 months. One study showed that most patients will lose about one-third of their original body weight in 1 to 4 years. However, if the recommended diet is not followed properly, the patient can begin to stretch their stomach and weight may be regained.

Strict lifestyle changes and gastric bypass surgery are two options for quick weight loss pounds.

McDonalds Calorie Counter Fast Food For Fast Weight Loss

If you get a McDonald's calorie counter, you won’t have to give up the taste and convenience of eating at America’s favorite fast food restaurant, even if you’re trying to lose weight. McDonalds and other fast food ventures get a bad rap, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

One of the biggest hits McDonalds has taken in the eyes of dieters was the movie Supersize Me, a documentary about eating nothing but McDonalds for thirty days. The movie’s director and nominal star ate nothing but McDonalds for the duration, without the benefit of a McDonalds calorie counter.

Eating McDonalds for three meals a day, he managed to gain better than twenty five pounds and pretty severely impacted his health. Needless to say, this didn’t do wonders for McDonald’s business, and it scared away even more dieters from eating at the fast food giant and led to the widespread availability of the McDonald's calorie counter.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. In the wake of Supersize Me, several people took up the challenge of eating nothing but McDonald's food for a month and not gain weight or even lose weight. Which, according to popular thinking, should be impossible.

But, as it turns out, it’s entirely possible to eat nothing but McDonalds or any other fast food and lose weight. What you need to know is what you’re eating and what you can eat, which is where the McDonald's calorie counter comes into play.

McDonalds, like most fast food restaurants, has made the McDonalds calorie counter freely available online and at most of their restaurants. Since the food is all standardized, you can pick one of them up and now that what you get is going to very close to what the guides say.

Since you can do that, you can use the McDonalds calorie counter to figure what foods you can eat, and in what amount. You can eat there and still lose weight; all it takes is proper planning and the right choice of foods.

This doesn’t just mean eating salads and diet soda. You can have chicken McNuggets and hamburgers and fries and even milkshakes. What you can’t do is have them all at once or all the time, or at least not as much as you want all the time.

With the help of a McDonalds calorie counter, you need to select foods that fit into your diet scheme. Which is basically saying that you need to make sure your daily calories fit within a range that is going to let you lose weight. As long as you’re inside that range, you can eat whatever you like.

This does mean that, unfortunately, if you eat at McDonalds three times a day, you can have two double quarter pounders with extra large fries and a milkshake at every meal. You can go all out as an occasional treat, if you really need to, but you need to keep your calories within a reasonable range. But usually, you just need to consult your McDonalds calorie counter and find foods that you can enjoy and lose weight with.

Three Day Diets The Fastest Way To Lose Weight

There are a lot of three day diets out there, and it’s no surprise why they’re so popular. The diets differ in what you get to eat and how you use them, but they all make the same promise: rapid weight loss. Very rapid weight loss.

The general promise is six pounds over the course of the diet. Since most people struggle to lose a pound a week, the promises of the three day diets are very appealing. But these diets do raise two big questions; do they work and are they safe?

Do they work? Yes and no. If you need to drop some pounds quickly to look your best for an event, then these three day diets can be extremely effective, because if followed as instructed, they will help you drop pounds and inches.

The problem is that they aren’t really designed for long term weight loss, which is why they are three day diets and not thirty year diets. They work mostly by causing a very rapid loss due to low carbohydrates and low salt content. Which is fine, because if you’re using them as a quick fix, that’s exactly what you want them to do.

But the weight will come back almost immediately when you resume normal eating habits, which is true of pretty much every diet. The three day diets are also, by their nature, very low in bulk, which means that your midsection will slim out quickly because there’s not much in your intestines.

The three day diets do lead to actual fat loss as well, since by their nature they are low in calories and they are short enough that there is no metabolic slowdown as you would get if you stayed on the program longer. Depending on your size and activity level, it’s unreasonable to expect to see from one to three pounds of actual fat loss.

Are they safe? Yes, usually. Frankly, a lot of people worry about the safety of diets a lot more than they really should. The human body is an immensely adaptable machine, and you can eat pretty much anything foodwise for short periods with no ill effects, or nothing at all.

Certainly, most of the three days diets are perfectly safe for a normal person who doesn’t have a preexisting illness. You can’t develop nutritional deficiencies over the course of three days. In addition, most of the three day diets actually have you eating healthier than the average person does normally.

Typically, the diets have you eating mostly meat, vegetables and fruit over the course of the three days, and elimination starches and sugar. This is actually a big improvement over the way the normal person eats, and the chance of you becoming deficient in vitamins or nutrients, even over the long term, is virtually non existent.

The problem with three day diets is that they are also extremely low in calories, typically below 1000 calories, and often much below. This is simply not enough calories even if you are trying to lose weight, and so you can’t say that the three day diets are safe for extended use.

What you can do is do a three on, four off version of the diet. In the three day period, do the diets exactly as planned, but for the next four days, eat the same foods without limiting portions. This will prevent metabolic slowdown and help make the three day diets work for you.

Calorie Burning Counter And Exercise For Weight Loss

A calorie burning counter is a device or computer program that allows you to see how your exercise program is working for you. Knowing how many calories you are burning is a key factor in designing an exercise program that will allow you to get the lean, fit body that you’re working for.

There are two kinds of calorie burning counter available for you to use, and while bo0th are useful, you may find that one type or the other is going to be more conductive to your goals. They both allow you to track how much activity you’re getting and how many calories you’re burning.

There are two basic varieties of calorie burning counter available to you; one that monitors your calories directly, and those that you use to calculate the calories burned. Both of these use calculations based on your size, age and gender. What differs is how you use the calorie burning counter.

The direct type is a small device that is usually strapped to your upper arm. You program this device with your vital statistics, and it uses a variety of sensors to keep track of how many calories you’re burning. This includes monitoring your temperature, your heart rate, and your perspiration to get a picture of how hard you are working.

This type generally works very well, and you can see it in use on the television show The Biggest Loser, but it’s not for every person and every situation. For one thing, these devices tend to be expense, and you may not be willing or able to purchase one.

Another problem with this type of calorie burning counter is that wearing a device like this may simply be uncomfortable. Not every one likes to have a small device strapped to their arm, and many people may not like the kind of looks and questions they will get while wearing them.

The other type of calorie burning counter is actually two types, but since they work more or less the same, there’s no reason to separate them out. The basic idea of this kind is that you can manually look up how many calories you’ve burned for every activity you.

The two types of this kind are either electronic or a good old fashioned book. Either one will have lists and charts that will allow you to figure out exactly how many calories you are burning when you are doing whatever you’re doing.

The downside to using this kind of calorie burning counter is that it requires more work on your part. You have to actually look up or enter the activities that you do, and this makes it surprisingly easy to just not bother. On the other hand, you can do it at your own convenience, which is a plus.

Regardless of which kind of calorie burning counter you choose, the key is to actually use it, and use it effectively. You need to use it to make sure you’re burning enough calories, and you need to make sure to adjust your eating. Do both of these and a calorie burning counter may be your secret to weight loss.

Eat Out To Lose Weight With A Restaurant Calorie Counter

A restaurant calorie counter can be a dieter’s best friend. Losing weight isn’t easy, so you need to take steps to make it as easy as possible on yourself. One way to do this is to not limit yourself to just bland home meals and a life where you never eat out for fear of not being able to maintain your diet the way you want to. With a restaurant calorie counter, you won’t have to.

There’s no doubt that losing weight is difficult. The rate of obesity is soaring and it’s not because people are trying to gain weight, sumo wrestlers excepted. In general, more than 95 percent of people who do manage to lose weight won’t be able to keep it off. Many people manage to gain and lose hundreds of pounds over their lifetime. When something is this difficult, you need to take every step you can to make it as easy as possible.

This includes eating out, or grabbing things on the fly, which is where a restaurant calorie counter comes in handy. We’d all like to be able to be able to do up our food at home, eat perfectly all day and come back to prepare a nutritionally flawless means for dinner, all with a smile on your face.

But in reality, this doesn’t happen. People sleep late, work late, and sometimes the boss wants you to have lunch with him. It’s a rare person who can get by without buying their food already prepared at some point. Unless your eating out is going to consist of glasses of water, you’re going to need a restaurant calorie counter.

A restaurant calorie counter is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. It’s a guide to the calories and nutrient contents of things you find in restaurants. Generally, these will be available for all chain type restaurants, fast food and otherwise, but a very good restaurant calorie counter will also have very famous restaurants, and it is possible to get copies that have local information, as well.

The local restaurants are actually a flaw in using a restaurant calorie counter; even those that have restaurants are forced to estimate. This isn’t necessarily a huge problem, but bear in mind that if you’re eating at Uncle Joe’s Wings and Things you’re going to have to estimate.

A good way to do this, if you’re eating in a place where you’re going to be eating a lot but the place isn’t listed in your restaurant calorie counter, is to get your favorites as take out. Once you have them, measure them and then find something in the counter that’s pretty close and work out how many calories are in each one.

Either way, a restaurant calorie counter can be key to your weight loss success, regardless of the type of diet you’re on. If you’re using a controlled calorie plan, then you can easily look up the calorie count and adjust. Or you can choose dishes with the right amount of fat or carbs for your plan. Every diet is easier with a restaurant calorie counter.

LA Weight Loss Recipes

LA Weight Loss recipes are part of one of the fastest growing weight loss programs that is currently being used by millions of people to lose weight healthily and safely. The recipes themselves are based around normal every day foods that are part of the users every day life and also foods from the program itself. Simply put, it claims to be an all round complete and successful way to lose weight.

Anyone on a diet or weight loss program has been conditioned, well before they even start the program, to believe that the diet they are following will be restrictive, and for want of a better word, boring! Now we all know that as well as being hungry, being bored is one of the classic reasons why many people fail on diets. They find it difficult to cope long term with the required eating habits that they are suppose to follow and really, when you look closely at many of the diets out there, who can blame them. LA Weight Loss recipes are nothing like that.

Unlike many other diet programs the LA Weight Loss recipes are interesting and are not bland or one dimensional. Therefore believe it or not you get to eat strawberry shortcake on this program. Yes it might consist of some slightly different ingredients to what you would normally use, but strawberry shortcake it is nonetheless.

So here's how you would go about making this lovely little dish. Get a handful of small strawberries , a rice cake, a tablespoon of lemon juice and one of the LA Weight Loss drink mixes. The preparation to make up this shortcake is pretty simple and straight forward. Drop the rice cake in a bowl, wash and prepare the strawberries before placing them on the top of your rice cake and all you then do is pour the LA Drink over the strawberries and leave it to set.

Love sweet and sour chicken? Well as LA Weight Loss Recipes go, the sweet and sour chicken is up there with the most indulgent and exotic. Consisting of one protein, two vegetables and a fruit group, this recipe is a pretty simple one to follow and prepare. Simply get together about 8oz of boneless and skinned chicken breast, a green or red pepper, 3 green onions, some red wine vinegar, cornstarch and some tomato ketchup. Cube some fresh pineapple, add some chopped tomato and some chicken broth and some nonfat cooking spray.

The preparation is now all about making the food quick to cook using a wok and that means cutting the chicken and the vegetables into thin strips or pieces. Using the cooking spray first the vegetables are stir-fried and then the chicken. The next step is to add the other ingredients to the wok and to add the taste to this meal.

So as you can see, the recipes you can utilize on this program are based on classics that we all know and love and really that's why this program is the hit it is!

3 Day Cardiac Diet Is Fastest And Easiest Weight Loss Plan

If the 3 day cardiac diet is one of the easiest and fastest ways to lose weight; so why haven’t you heard of it? The odds are good that you actually have already heard of it, or at least something very much like the 3 day cardiac diet, which has also been called the Birmingham Hospital diet.

This diet is one of a group of fairly similar diets that have been around for years, including the May Clinic Diet, the Grapefruit Diet, or the Cleveland Clinic diet. The purpose of all these diets is to enable a person to lose as much weight as possible in three days.

If you believe that the 3 day cardiac diet and diets like it came from these clinics, then the idea was to help cardiac patients lose the water weight and bloat before surgery. The institutions all deny that they originated these diets, but they are very effective at rapid weight loss.

You will find the 3 day cardiac diet is a high protein, limited calorie diet that emphasizes vegetables and lean protein. Because of the amounts of vegetable you’re encouraged to eat, there’s no risk of nutritional deficiencies arising, but you do need to make sure to only stay on it for three days at time, or the low calories will cause a metabolic slowdown.

For breakfast on each of the three days, you’re going to want to focus on getting in protein as well as some fats, so the usual prescription is water packed tuna or cottage cheese, about a half a cup’s worth, and two eggs, cooked in your preferred style.

This gives you a good mix of protein and fat, which are important for maintaining you hunger at manageable levels and giving you the materials you need to keep your muscles strong. Under no circumstances should you skip breakfast or not eat the full amount. You may have coffee or tea with it, but make sure not to use sweeteners or any dairy products.

Lunch will be a mixture of tuna and salad. On the first two days, you may have a half a cup of water packed tuna, and a salad of any size you like. Keep in mind, though, that the salad must be all vegetables – no cheese or croutons or the like.. Make sure to use olive oil as your dressing, and don’t skimp, you need the good fats for proper metabolism. On the third day of the 3 day cardiac diet you may increase to a full cup.

Dinner on the 3 day cardiac diet will consist of as much as you like of any kind of meat, prepared without sauce or breading. You need to back this up with two different types of vegetables, steamed and without sauce except for butter, which you should use on them.

Do not eat bread, pasta, or potatoes on the 3 day cardiac diet, because it will disrupt the weight loss formula of the diet. Remember to drink at least 64 ounces of water while on the diet, and don’t cheat, it’s only three days. Follow these rules and the 3 day cardiac diet will give you quick and easy weight loss.

Body Colon Cleanse Clear Your Intestines Lose Weight

The body colon cleanse is all the rage these days. What is it and why is so important to clean out a certain part of your intestines? Basically, you build up a lot of gunk in your system and this keeps you from losing weight. The body colon cleanse helps you lose weight by cleaning your system out.

One body colon cleanse is called the lemonade diet. It was created by

the late Naturopath Stanley Burroughs. It consists of fasting to rid the body of

toxins, created by improper diet, lack of exercise and negative mental attitudes.

The body colon cleanse will dissolve and eliminate toxins and congestion. It will

cleanse the kidneys and digestive system. It aims to purify glands and eliminate waste and

hardened materials in the joints and muscles. You’ll start to build a healthy bloodstream which in turn leads to developing optimal blood pressure

Also, the body colon cleanse will help you lose weight. Most people lose about 2 pounds a day with no harmful side effects.

The lemonade diet should be followed for exactly 10 days. During this period, you will not eat anything and you will only drink a specially formulated lemonade. You need to drink at least 10 servings of the lemonade a day, which can be difficult to manage without discipline.

The recipe for the lemonade is as follows: fill a one gallon water jug with the juice of five lemons, 1 and ¼ cups of Organic Grade B maple syrup (no substitutes), 1/10 tsp. or more of cayenne pepper, and fill the rest of the jug with purified or spring water (do not use fluoridated tap water.)

When you get up each morning that you are on the body colon cleanse, you need to do a salt water flush. Mix two level teaspoons of unionized sea salt with a quart of lukewarm water and mix. Drink this all right away.

Then in the evening you’ll want to take an herbal laxative tea which you can find in most grocery stores.

You should be prepared to need to use the restroom a lot while on the body colon cleanse. Specifically, that means that you should be prepared to go every 15 or 20 minutes. If you have a job or other activities that will not accommodate this need, you may want to consider putting the program off until you can use the facilities whenever you need to.

You may think that drinking only lemonade, saltwater and tea with no food for 10 days is dangerous. Well, you are certainly not going to die on this diet, but you will be hungry. Surprisingly, you will probably find that you have more energy as the diet goes on, despite the lack of food.

At the end of the body colon cleanse, you can expect to have lost anywhere from 5 to 10 pounds (this is mostly water weight and will be quickly regained if you don’t follow a reasonable eating and exercise plan), feel increased energy, have an increased desire to eat healthy foods, and feel somewhat different about life in general.

Those who make it through a body colon cleanse are generally very glad that they did it.

Calorie Counter Chart Easy Simple Weight Loss

A calorie counter chart maybe just the thing you need to finally lose weight. When it comes down to it, losing weight is simple. Not easy, mind you, but simple, just like digging a ditch is simple but not easy. But that’s not a truth that most diets books will tell you. They definitely won’t tell you that all you really need to lose weight is a calorie counter chart.

There’s a good reason for this, of course, and that reason is money. The publishers make their money selling diet books, and you wouldn’t be able to charge much for a diet book the length of this article. So they need to come up with long and complicated systems to justify publishing books.

They don’t do this intentionally, of course, but if the programs actually worked, you’d only need the one diet book, which would just be a calorie counter chart. People don’t believe weight loss can be that simple, so they buy the complicated systems and try to do them. And sometimes they work. But for most people, diets don’t work.

A calorie counter chart can help you lose weight, and it can help you keep it off. Weight loss really is simple, despite whatever anyone else tells you. You need to eat less than you are burning off. Do that, and you will lose weight. It’s just doing that can be less than easy.

The truth is, all diets work on this principle, even they claim otherwise. If you load up on vegetables and fruit and avoid fat, the sheer bulk of the food you’re eating will prevent you from overeating. If you go the other route and eliminate carbohydrates from your diet, then the fullness you’ll feel from eating protein and fat will be enough to drop your calories to a point where you’re eating less.

But both of those techniques require you to drop out foods you like, and that makes them, ultimately, a short term prospect for most people. Eventually, most people falter and go back to eating the way that got them overweight to begin with. The better way to do this sort of thing is to just never stop eating what you were eating to begin with.

Well, almost, and this is where the calorie counter chart comes in handy. What you need to do is eat what you like, but reduce the amounts. This means that you can continue to eat the foods you like, so long as you control the amounts you’re eating.

This is actually even easier than it sounds. It takes a really trivial amount of calories each day to lose weight. If you can drop as little as 400 calories as a day, you can drop forty pounds over the course of a year. All of this, without ever giving up anything.

What you need to do to do this is consult a calorie counter chart every time you eat, at least until you’ve memorized your favorite foods. Once you know how much you’re eating, just cut down on the portions of the things you like least. Do this, and you’ll be losing weight the easy way.

Calories Weight Loss Burn 500 Calories A Day To Lose A Pound A Week

Do you know how to balance your calories? Weight loss begins with knowing what foods to eat and in what amounts. This article will look at calories & weight loss.

The most important thing you need to know about calories & weight loss is that you need to burn 3500 more calories than you take in to lose 1 pound. You can do this by exercising, dieting, or a combination of both.

The easiest way to break this down is to think of it on a daily basis. You need to burn 500 more calories than you eat each day.

An inactive or lightly active man weighing 150 lbs, will burn roughly 2000 calories each day. If he weighed 200 lbs, he’d burn around 2300 calories each day. On the other hand, a 150 lbs. woman will burn about 1700 calories a day.

Why do men and women of the same weight burn different calories? Most of it has to do with the fact that men have more muscle mass which allows them to burn more calories at rest. This should also encourage you to put on muscle, whether you are a man or a woman.

So, going back to calories & weight loss, if you are a 150 pound woman and you don’t want to do any exercise, you need to eat no more than 1200 calories a day.

However, if you are willing to put in some work, you can eat a little bit more. For instance, even housework can increase your eating ability. Heavy cleaning burns 432 calories an hour. Do that for 70 minutes a day and you’ll have your 500 calories. Mowing the lawn for an hour (with a push mower) burns 324 calories an hour. But there are fun ways to burn calories too. An hour of singles tennis burns 549 calories an hour. And, an hour of skiing burns a whopping 740 calories.

If you are serious about controlling calories, weight loss will follow. One way to do this is to control your portion sizes. Meals, both at home and at restaurants have been growing in size for decades. For instance, in the 1930s, the average dinner plate size had an 8 or 9 inch diameter. Now, the average diameter is 10 to 12 inches. Switch to salad plates for dinner and watch the pounds disappear.

It’s no secret that restaurant portions have grown. For instance at Romano’s Macaroni Grill, a seemingly good for you Teriyaki Salmon dinner has a whopping 1240 calories. If you are eating out, either split the meal with someone else or ask for a take home box at the start of the meal. Then, place half of the food in the take home box before you start eating. That way you can still “clean your plate” without taking on the additional calories.

There calories weight loss formula is calories in-calories out. Make sure that there is a differential of 500 if you want to lose one pound.

Mayo Diet Eat A Grapefruit Lose The Weight

The Mayo Diet is misnamed because it was not named for Minnesota’s famed Mayo Clinic. Still, the eating plan persists under this name. It continues to be popular. It is also known as the Grapefruit diet because that fruit is consumed at most meals. So, if you are wondering how the Mayo Diet works, this article will explain it.

The Mayo Diet is based around eating grapefruit, salads, and lean protein. It strictly restricts carbohydrates. You should follow the diet for 12 days and then take a 2 day break before beginning again.

A sample breakfast is two eggs, two slices of bacon, a cup of coffee and half of a grapefruit. Lunch might be salad with dressing, any kind of lean meat, and half of a grapefruit. Dinner is fish, any kind of non-starchy vegetable and half a grapefruit. Right before you go to bed, you can have 8 ounces of skim milk or tomato juice.

As you can see, the Mayo diet focuses on grapefruit. The theory is that grapefruit provides some “magical” dieting tool. This is nonsense. The reason that the diet works is that it is very low calorie (about 1000 calories a day) and that it eliminates almost all carbs. That means that you are losing water weight. If you don’t go back on it after your 2 day break, you are likely to gain all of the water weight.

Some of the principles of the Mayo diet include eating until you are full, but not beyond that point. You can have all the lean protein and fish you want, but don’t over eat.

Don’t skip meals! Also, you shouldn’t eliminate any of the foods on the diet including the bacon and the salads. It is said that the exact combination of foods on the diet is what helps you lose the fat.

Limit your caffeine intake to one cup of coffee in the morning. Caffeine affects the insulin balance that hinders the burning process.

When on the Mayo Diet, don’t eat between meals. The combination of food suggested should be sufficient so that you will not be hungry.

The diet completely eliminates sugar and starches. These are lipids and form fat. Ironically, fat doesn’t form fat. Instead, it helps burn it. You can even fry food in butter and use butter generously on vegetables and lose weight on this diet.

Do not eat desserts, bread, and white vegetables or sweet potatoes when on the Mayo Diet. It is alright to eat double or triple helpings of meat, salad, or vegetables, but NO CARBS. Eat until you are satisfied. The more you eat of the proper combination of food, the more you can lose.

It is typical to lose up to 10 pounds in 12 days on the first round of the Mayo Diet. On subsequent rounds, you may lose less, but you should still take off some significant weight.

Count On Weight Loss Calorie Counter Success

If you have the right setup, it’s possible to have perfectly predictable weight loss, calorie counter style. Believe it or not, our bodies are remarkably good at maintaining our bodyweight.

Most people gain weight slowly, maybe five or ten pounds a year. Broken down into daily calories, this is a very slim margin of error which is why a weight loss calorie counter can help you.

For example, if you gain twenty pounds of fat over the course of a year, you need to eat an additional seventy thousand calories. Now, seventy thousand calories sounds like a lot of calories, and it is, but do you know how many calories that is each day? Less than two hundred.

A weight loss calorie counter will tell you that two hundred calories is not a lot of food. It’s a candy bar, or an extra helping of mac and cheese, or a bottle of soda. The amazing thing is how close our bodies come to getting it right even when we gain weight at a pretty fast clip.

Which is good for us for a number of reasons. For one thing, it stops us from weight seven hundred pounds within a year’s time. But it also means that to lose weight, we only have to make some fairly small adjustments to our diets, which we can do by using a weight loss calorie counter.

The very first thing you need to do is start writing down what you eat. Everything you eat. Don’t worry, it’s not going to be forever, it’s just going to be until we can establish a baseline. So for a week or two you’ll need to weight and write down everything you eat, so that you can consult a weight loss calorie counter.

After you do this, you need to figure out how many calories you’re taking in by looking up the caloric content of the foods you’re eating. This is why it’s important to know exactly how much of each food you’re eating so that you can make the calculations correctly.

What you’re trying to find is the amount of calories you’re eating in order to maintain your weight, which is what you need the weight loss calorie counter for. Once you know that number, you can begin to tweak the amount of food you’re eating to lose weight slowly and predictably.

The trick is to make substitutions that won’t cause you to just make up for the calories elsewhere. An easy, obvious way is to replace any soda you’re drinking with water, which can easily get the calorie reduction you’re looking for. Another way is to reduce the amount of meat you eat while increasing the veggies.

You should always be on the look out for painless ways to reduce calories, which is another way a weight loss calorie counter can be handy in trying to lose weight. Page through it to find some other options for you to eat. You’ll be surprised at how many alternate foods you’ll be able to find.
