Aurora

Sunnymere Breakfast Club: A complimentary hot breakfast will be served to community members at 8:30 a.m. and a presentation given at 9 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at Sunnymere, 925 Sixth Ave.

The program for April 18 will be Donna Sperlakis from Rush Copley on “PD101” — Parkinson’s Disease. Make reservations with Cecelia between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., 630-898-7844, ext. 15, by the Monday before the breakfast.

Elburn

Casino trip: The Elburn seniors have planned a trip April 17 to Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Mich.

The bus leaves the Elburn Jewel/Osco at 8 a.m. and returns about 6 p.m. The cost is $35, which includes bus fare, $10 toward lunch and $15 credit on a play card. Reservations and money are due by April 10 to be eligible for the lunch and play money rebate at 630-879-7898.

Fox Valley

Scams and identity theft: Fox Valley seniors are invited to learn more about how to protect themselves from scams and identity theft at a pair of events, one in Kendall County and one in Kane County, hosted by State Rep. Kay Hatcher.

The Senior Protection Seminars are both April 10: 9:30 a.m., Yorkville Senior Center, 908 Game Farm Road in Yorkville; and 1 p.m., Lions Park, 500 S. Filmore St., Elburn. RSVP to Hatcher’s office, 630-553-3223, or info@kayhatcher.us.

Oswego

Fit and Strong: Learn what physical activity will help manage symptoms of osteoarthritis. Learn to perform safe stretching, balance, aerobic and strengthening exercises, which will gradually increase in frequency, duration and intensity over time. In cooperation with One-on-One Fitness, the Oswego Senior Center will host classes three times a week from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from April 16 to June 8. Sandwich

Spring Rummage Sale: The annual sale for Fox Valley Older Adult Services will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 19 and Clearance Friday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. April 20 at the Fox Valley Community Center, 1406 Suydam Road. Volunteers who wish to work at the sale should call the group at 815-786-9404. All proceeds will help support programs that promote keeping senior citizens independent and living in their own homes.
